Visual Effects

We create matte paintings to get a painted representation of a set, landscape or distant location. It allows filmmakers to create an illusion of a setting that’s not present at the location of filming.

We use this concept for the extension of a set by enumerating its members. Also sometimes simply called an extension, it helps to create a scene with the intended number of people without relying on recruiting extras.

Match moving allows us to insert computer graphics onto live-action footage. A realistic feel can be created with the correct position, orientation, scale and motion relative to the objects in the shot.

We combine two images or frames by replacing a colour or colour range in a frame with that from another frame. This concept is also known as colour keying and colour separation overlay.

A visual effects supervisor’s primary goal is to achieve the creative objectives of the director or producers through visual effects. We can take care of VFX projects, from conception till completion.

We use special effects to create illusions or visual tricks that can be put to use in theatres, televisions, films, video games and simulations. It helps create imagined events in a story or virtual world.

The concept of wire removal helps us remove safety wires that are used to help actors or objects to fly. Wire removal can be partly automated or each frame can be edited manually.

We use rotoscoping to trace over motion picture footage, frame by frame, to produce realistic action. Rotoscoping manually creates a matte for an element on a live-action plate. This allows it to be composited over another background.

We use compositing to combine visual elements into single images. This creates the illusion that all the combined elements belong to the same scene. Live-action shooting for compositing is known as chroma key, blue screen or green screen.

Crowd multiplication allows us to simulate the movement of a large number of people. It’s great to create scenes for movies without looking unrealistic.
